Time’s
a goofy thing.
It
either travels at warp speed or it drags its feet like a reluctant kicking and
screaming child trying to back step as you attempt to force it along!
Last
year at this time, we seemed to be living in slo-mo as we hunkered down in our
Cody, Wyoming home with visions of becoming full-time RVers again in the early
spring. Our flesh and blood stationary Selves
were present but our ever restless Spirits were out and about traveling without
us.
Perhaps
this disconnection, the separation of “what is” from “what’s desired” makes time
heavier, slowing it down until "what is" and "what's desired" become one again?
For
example, when at the dentist’s office my desire is to not be there and time
gets all backed up and it seems like I sit there forever before the smiling
dental assistant (who likely doesn’t want to be there either) calls my name. Then when my desire to not be there is aligned with my action, as I'm walking out the door, time passage
seems in-line again.
I
think about goofy stuff like that, HA!
Another
example, our coast-to-coast trip this summer was like being a passenger in the Back
to the Future DeLorean with a fully functioning locked and loaded Fluxcapacitator! My God!
We were standing on the beach in Southern California in March and then
we were standing on the pier in Eastport, Maine in June and even though we
stopped a hundred times along the way, if I hadn’t taken pictures and kept a
journal, I would have doubted any of it had happened at all!
When
our present actions (what is) were synced with our dreams (what’s desired) it seemed as
though that unbridled stretch of time flowed in a way that was so perfect, that
we became It and It became us. Physical Self
and Spirit Self joined hands and danced through time and space without the hindrance
of one dragging down the other.
Hmmmm…….
What
are you smokin’ you ask!?
Imagine where
my mind would go if I’d take up that habit?
Scary thought huh?
Wishing
you all a New Year where your day-to-day life experiences often dance in perfect step with
your dreams and on December 31, 2019 you can honestly say, “WOW, where
