A Day in the Life of 2

So, here we are, in the midst of a pandemic and a gigantic cluster fuck.

Food for a buffet of John Steinbeck novels for sure.

Unfortunately, I'm not a Steinbeck by any stretch of the imagination but I admire his talent for digesting real life cluster fucks and bringing them to written-word-life in a way that lets you slip into the character's skin without investing in the consequences of the times, or their choices.

A "safe" way to waltz through tragic life moments for those of us who shelter-up when the going gets uncomfortable.

We've sheltered up in a remote little campground in Montana for the summer, a familiar place we've stayed in as guests, and as volunteers, before.  In exchange for volunteer hours we've been given a full hook-up RV spot in paradise and that my friends shall be what this summer's blog shall be written about, A Day in the Life of 2.

2 every day real life folks with a combined 133 years of jobs, marriages, joys and sorrows under their belts, just trying to take what years we have left and making them the best they can be, while we're healthy enough to get 'er done.  Our years are numbered and too much time spent "thinking about it" is our worst enemy.

So here we are, in a place where we've already created history, lifetime friends and cherished memories.  A familiar place that we stumbled across 6 years ago totally unaware of what treasures it would gift us.  It seems only fitting that in this time of fear, mixed messages and anger, switftly turning into rage, we have gravitated back to this place rich in peace, wildlife and simplicity.

So, a Bigger Plan seems to be in store for us all.  Forced upon us by a Greater Power than ourselves, whatever Power you believe that to be.

We abondoned our summer travel "plans" and rather than settle in a place of anger, that would surely fester into rage, we sought answers that would pacify our restless souls, without endangering our, or others, health and well being.

And here we are.

If it's our last summer because of this cluster fuck virus, then so be it.

It's been worth it....
