Again,
it’s the wee hours of the morning and waiting for the world to wake up so the
day can begin.
It
was sad to see Whitefish State Park fade away in the rear view mirror and those
we’ve come to know and connect with in our daily lives.
BUT
…. With eyes ahead and minds open to the next chapter, the need to cling to
what’s become familiar subsides replaced by the landscapes yet unseen and
experiences yet to be lived.
Our
first 2 stops have been in small out-of-the-way Montana towns. The first night in a Wal-Mart parking lot and
I must say our curb-side spot next to lush green grass and ample doggie-running
room was pretty dang spiffy! Last night
was spent in a fairground campground surrounded by centuries-old cottonwood
trees and with a lazy muddy bottom river meandering between the campground and
the fairgrounds. Free (donation
requested) and only 1 other RV pulled in before the night was done.
Today
we leave Montana bound for Belle Fourche, South Dakota (North of Rapid City)
for a few days of R & R at a full-service campground. Hoping the weather holds out for some Black
Hills MC riding!
Not
sure how long we’ll hang out in SD, depends on weather and ambition.
Scheduled
arrival for our Tucson camp host gig isn’t ‘til Oct. 14th so we have
some travel wiggle room.
Oh
yeah…….
