Here
we are, back from whence we came…Arizona.
It’s
good to be back amongst the familiar.
The
journey home was awesome and other than a rainy evening and following morning
in Colorado we were blessed with clear skies and open roads.
Here’s
an interesting tale …. While parked in Rapid City, SD for a few days we
discovered that the couple in a 5th wheel next to us had passed
through Whitefish Lake State Park and we had helped them with other campground
options since we were booked. The only
reason I remembered them is because they own property in Prescott and that’s
what started our longer than usual conversation in Whitefish. Serendipity at its finest!
Now
is a time for catching up with family & friends, stocking up on food
supplies, attending to small in-house repairs and motorhome maintenance.
I’m grateful for this months’ break from
volunteer work and having a bit more time to get caught up with my internet job work and especially for the bonus of kickin' back for a spell.
I’m
really looking forward to being in the Tucson area this winter & especially
living in the foothills of the Catalina Mountains. There are miles and miles of hiking trails
and the desert in the winter is a wonder in itself to behold. AND….. how we’ve missed AUTHENTIC Mexican
food!!! Montana has its spectacular
mountains, lakes and rivers…but sorely lacks a good Mexican restaurant!
So,
we’ve survived the top of the 1st inning in Montana, taking a 7th
inning stretch and soon to be stepping up to bat in the heart of the Great
American Southwest.
adiós
por ahora (Spanish for good-bye for now)
